The Minimal Project
Minimal sound. Maximum impact.
The Minimal Project is the collaborative DJ and production project of David Bühler and Robin Hagen from the Rhine-Neckar region.
After meeting in 2012, their shared passion for music quickly led to the creation of their own project. David brought his experience as a DJ, while Robin was already working intensively on his own productions. This combination gave rise to a shared sound that remains defined by groove, clear structures and a strong focus on the dancefloor.
Musically, The Minimal Project moves between techno, minimal and tech house. Reduced elements meet driving basslines, atmospheric passages and precisely constructed builds. Rather than adhering to rigid genre boundaries, the focus is on developing a distinctive and recognisable sound of their own.
Alongside numerous DJ sets, David and Robin have also established themselves as producers. Their releases have appeared on labels including Sowa Audio, Funk’N’Deep, District Underground and Complexed Records.
With their event series “Techno in Town”, The Minimal Project have also been a fixture of the electronic music scene around Mannheim for many years. They have additionally performed at various clubs and festivals, as well as at their own formats such as the open-air event “Suntimes”.
Whether in the studio or behind the decks, the aim is always the same: to create electronic music that works instantly, builds energy and connects people on the dancefloor.
